Day 1: Explorers- Act:1

This is my first day for the summer where, not only me, but plenty of other kids around New Zealand will be creating our first blog posts and comments for the summer learning journey. For this topic, my task was to make a list of ten food items that I could take alongside if I were to go on a voyage. I actually found this task a bit challenging, as too I was to choose wisely with my food options and was only able to think of 5. Other than that it was a pretty cool task to think about , and cant wait to write more.

Summer Learning Journey- day 2

Over the last 3-2 weeks year 3-8 have been working on the summer learning journey project. This week Tayla from SLJ has come in and kick started us off with a teaser week; We have each picked 1/3 activities from day 2, "Sport and Leisure" and today I have written my own little simile about Usain Bolt. It was fun to write about this topic, probably because it was really easy and didn't take that much time to work on, and also because I got to present it in a really neat and exciting way.

Throughout the last couple of term, Room 5 & 6 have been tasked to create, make, and publish a 3 minute movie, along with the rest of Kawakawa primary. Tahlya, Tunisia, Dakota, and I, have created our own little fun movie called, Different types of movies. We have all enjoyed the making and fun throughout filming, and have had lots of laughs. We have joined up with a few other schools, to present 3 of our schools movies. I hope you enjoy our movie, and make sure to comeback next monday for another free writing.

Orientation day - BOIC

BOIC - Orientation day

As you may know all primary/intermediate year 8 students usually have to attend a orientation sometime of the year to get prepared, This week all year 8 students at my school attended one at our local college school Bay of island college school. We had 2 leaders to show us around the school, "Charlie &  Sharky" I believe there names were, and took about 4 different classes also, some including, Art, D.T.Y/digital technology, wood tech, and science. we had great teachers, but I'm still working out what schools I'm attending and different things like that. Overall I had a pretty good day, met some pretty good students and so on.

Sorry I don't actually have any photos.
